The MMYFCL League has accepted the applications from South Germantown and Woodlawn to join the organization and expand the states largest youth football league to an elite status. This league has been the fastest growing most organized league in the state as evidenced by the rapid growth and extreme popularity throughout the state. Many organizations apply to join each year but most don’t get accepted because the league is determined to manage growth effectively and maintain the quality of organization, multiple skill divisions and level of competition that is so attractive to everyone. Congratulations to the MMYFCL on running the largest youth football program in MD.

The league has really grown and has now proven to be the leader in MD as far as diversity, quality and overall success. Other leagues like the Mountain Valley Youth Football League have no teams ranked in the state top 10? or ranked at all for that matter? So if you have the choice to participate in a program like Urbana, Winfield, West Howard, Linganore or Damascus in the premier MMYFCL league it would make good sense to do so. For example playing for the Mt. Airy Bulldogs offers no chance for state ranking, or a post season state championship contest. All young boys are motivated by dreams and opportunity and playing for a State Championship is one way to encourage them to reach their full potential.

This spring frederick county youth football players will have the option of playing full contact arena football in an 8 on 8 full contact football league. The FCAFL will begin it’s first season as a league with the idea of giving Frederick county youth football players the option of playing football in the spring to bolster and already tremendous county football program. The football league is focusing it’s attention on legitimate high school feeder programs and to date have the following youth progam comittments. Urbana, Linganore, Frederick, TJ, Tuscarora, Walkersville and Catoctin… maybe more will be added to this growing list of exited youth programs. Games will be played in frederick city at an indoor facility starting in the spring. More information will follow as it becomes available.
